My larger version of the project is on hold for redesign
After several attempts to create a lighted project triggered by the motion of the pendulum I threw in the towel. When I transferred the breadboard circuit to a soldered board I had nothing but problems making it work reliably and failed to understand why. The original circuit did not act as I understood it should by the directions in the article. Multiple frustrations made me decide I had spent enough effort on this and I chose to put this one aside. The “proper” circuit should have separate windings for the trigger and another for the drive was my conclusion although the original test items worked very well.
